practicing in Santa Monica, California, who specializes in the assessment and treatment of adolescents and adults. He has extensive experience treating clients experiencing a wide variety of emotional challenges, including anxiety, depression, relationship problems, as well as issues related to sexual abuse, domestic violence and addictive behavior. He believes in utilizing treatment models that are supported by research and sound clinical practice. Scholz works full-time at Pepperdine University's Counseling Center as a Staff Clinician and Coordinator of Alcohol and Drug Prevention and Treatment Services. Additionally, he serves as an Adjunct Faculty member in their Department of Sociology and Graduate School of Psychology. Over the years, Scholz has provided consultation services to community-based and governmental agencies, and conducts trainings on a local and national basis for professionals in the fields of mental health, higher education, juvenile justice and law enforcement. He recently co-authored a book called Engaging Resistance published by Wood N' Barnes Publishing. Scholz's is an associate of Dr. Charlene Underhill Miller.
